No, No, No! – Fri. Dec. 9, 2016

Oncology finally caught up with us. We received a letter from the Morse Av, Sacramento, oncology office on Wed. saying they had been trying to contact us, and gave me a number to call. I was relieved that it was the local office instead of the Roseville office contacting us.

I called, and the receptionist set up a phone appointment with the Oncology Nurse Navigator (formerly called a Nurse Practitioner) for 3 pm Thursday. Wed. night Erin said that she was willing to go along with whatever. At 3 pm Thursday Erin was sleeping very soundly, and I couldn’t wake her up. When the nurse called, she was extremely understanding. I thought we were going to discuss the tamoxifen treatment with her. Instead, she was calling to schedule an appointment with an oncologist at Morse Ave. She noticed that Erin had a brain MRI scheduled for 4 pm today in the same building, and wondered if we would like to come beforehand at 2:30 pm for the appointment with the oncologist. Since Erin sleeps through the MRI, I thought that it would be ok and convenient.

Erin had also been invited earlier in the week to go with me to North Ridge CC for lunch today with my former social bridge group. At the time, Erin was pleased to be included. But, last night, Erin called me to her room to say “no” to lunch, “no” to oncology appointment, and “no” to the MRI. No, No, No!

    Barbara,
I can imagine that all those contacts and then getting the No answers was frustrating for you. We need to talk on the phone one of these days. Last week I had a lot of appointments and the time gets swallowed up. Where does time go?
