Erin’s handicap parking placard expires next week. She didn’t get a new one in the mail, probably because of her address change. So, this afternoon we went to DMV (California Dept. of Motor Vehicles) to get the placard renewed and her address changed.
I guess because Erin was in a wheelchair we were in and out of there in 15 minutes!
Afterwards, she wanted to go to her favorite Tower Cafe. a few miles away, to eat. It was only 4 pm, so they weren’t serving dinner yet. But, we had soup, dessert, and soft drinks. Their Russian tea cakes are a weakness of mine!
The first item on Tommy’s wish list was a Fisher-Price Imaginext Bat Bot. Steve said that was all that Tommy talked about. Tommy went into great detail telling me all about it. It is amazing the facts that a 6 year old knows.
Paco helped me order it and it was on their front porch today when Steve and Paco got home from Paco’s baseball tournament. Click on the link below to se a Bat Bot in action. Barbara
That is Paco in the front row extreme left. He had a weekend tournament out of town, but didn’t play today because he has hurt his ankle. He was limping when he was here last weekend. Barbara
Tommy said he had a lot of fun running through the airport. (Click on the white arrow.)
Steve came to get the boys about 11 am this morning for their flight home to Traverse City, MI, changing planes at O’Hare airport in Chicago. The plane from Sacramento was delayed for an hour because it was coming from Florida where there had been weather problems. So, Steve had time for a leisurely cup of coffee with us. Fortunately, the plane made up some time, so they made the connection to their flight to Traverse City with a few minutes to spare.
Tommy was fussy when he left here, not wanting to stop playing and get going. Steve said Tommy slept the whole 4 hours of the Sacramento – Chicago leg of the trip. But he was ready to sprint with Paco once the plane landed.
The house is a little quiet tonight!
Tommy was telling me tonight that his mother is a better swimmer than his father. He said that his mother can do backstroke using only one arm, but that his father has to use 2 arms!
Tonight we went to Brandon and Lisa’s for hamburgers and hot dogs. Tommy had a good time playing with Lisa’s nephew who is 2 months younger than Tommy. Paco sat with the adults, laughing and actively participating in the conversation.
After lunch we played whist for the first time this visit. Erin said she liked it. Tommy lasted for 3 hands. Then Clark joined Paco, Erin, and me for 2 hands of mini-bridge before Erin got tired and wanted to take a nap. Now Clark and Paco are doing magic card tricks. They are having discussions about what is a white lie and when is it necessary. Now Clark is tired. So, Paco and I are going to go See’s shopping for Erin.
In math, 0!, called “0 factorial” is defined as 1.
So, (0!+0!+0!) would be 3 and 3 factorial is 6. The short answer would be (0!+0!+0!)!=6. 3 factorial is 6 because 3x2x1 is 6.
Note from Barbara: Wikipedia says:
In mathematics, the factorial of a non-negative integer n, denoted by n!, is the product of all positive integers less than or equal to n. For example,
5! = 5 x 4 x3 x 2 x 1 = 120.
4! = 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24
3! = 3 x 2 x 1 =6
2! = 2 x 1 = 2
1! = 1
The value of 0! is defined as 1,
