Erin’s Haircut – Sat. Oct. 29, 2016

These pictures were taken 2 days ago when Erin had her hair cut for the first time in over 5 years.

Erin took a selfie of her long locks. She was letting her hair grow to give to Locks of Love, which makes wigs for children who have suffered medical hair loss.

Hairdresser, Kelly, took a picture of Erin’s long locks.

After-cut photos with Kelly.

Today we took Erin to get a blood test, which the doctor (Dr. Cua) probably wanted her to get before the MRI, but I was not aware until yesterday that he had ordered it, and we had already taken Erin to get the MRI on Wed. morning. Erin also got a flu shot.

Then we went to Boudin’s for a late lunch. When we got home, Erin went on a walk with Barbara Bravos. Erin pumps herself, but with all the leaves on the side walk, it was difficult for her to get thru the clutter. So, they were only gone for a half hour.

Looking good! I am impressed and moved that after all the medical stuff Erin has been through she still wanted to grow her hair out for Locks of Love. That’s truly thoughtful and generous.
Having said that, if she’d waited a few extra days for the haircut, she’d have made a pretty convincing Cousin Itt on Halloween…
    Love, Tom Z

I had no idea Erin’s hair was so long. I agree with Tom Z about how thoughtful and generous it was to grow and then donate her hair.
