Wild Turkeys: Happy 85th, Ralph – Sat. Mar. 21, 2015

Erin and I were sitting at the kitchen table talking when I looked out the window and had a full head on view of the turkey on the right preening. Pretty soon he was joined by the turkey on the left, then 3 more.

Happy 85th birthday, Uncle Ralph!! (husband of my sister, Joan).  Climbing those 42 steps to your front door for 50+ years has kept you young!

I did not know wild turkeys were in your area. Are they frequent visitors to people’s yards?

There are several flocks of turkeys in the common areas around our homes. I have counted as many as 25 at a time. We drove by 5 preening males and 2 colorless females this afternoon near our house.

If GinGin is reading this you should have her post about Ron, the wild turkeys and the red rake. That’s a pretty good story. Also it was my birthday too last week. Ok that’s the real reason I’m posting this.
