WE got home a little while ago from a 5 1/2 hour visit to the ER.
Erin has been continuing to have bladder problems and pain associated with them, which have worstened the past week, so I called the Advice Nurse this afternoon to try to get an appointment with an internist or urologist, and to find out the results of the culture done 3 weeks ago. It was negative for a Urinary Tract Infection.
Just before I called the nurse, Erin had taken some of her medicines on an empty stomach. As I was talking to the nurse she threw up 3 times, all liquid, I think due to the meds. The nurse talked to a doctor and they thought that she should go into the ER. They were afraid she might get dehydrated. In the ER they gave her 2 liters of IV which included zofran for the nausea.
The (female) doctor thought that the bladder problems were due to Erin’s brain condition. The doctor is going to get in touch with the urologist whom Erin saw a year ago when she was complaining about frequency at night.
When we got home, Erin wanted a half of a peanut butter sandwich. She took 2 bites and that was it, but she did drink several glasses of cranberry juice.
