Going off of Hospice

Denise, the RN, visited this afternoon and said that at the regular Tuesday morning meeting of the Hospice staff they discussed Erin and concluded that she has not progressed, so will probaby go off hospice. The end of the current certification period is Sept. 29th, so she will go off by that date or as early as next week.

One afternoon last week Erin was all set to call the hopsice office and tell them that she wanted to go off right then. She  plans to spend more time at home with her family in Davis. Regretfully, we said our goodbyes to Denise who is going to be off work the next several weeks.

I’ll take this news as a good sign. Sounds like Erin is holding her own, and not regressing. Many thanks to all the hospice folks who have cared for her, they are truly born to do their job. My best to you guys.
