5 October 2009 Drug treatment break is over, met with UCSF (Neurologist Jennifer Clarke) and restarted cocktail of Avastin infusion, Tarceva (both part of trial), and traditional Temodar (now only 5 days a month). Temodar is now 390mg (due to chubbiness) for 5 days, and they lowered my Tarceva to 100mg (due to earlier side effects). General analysis of MRI was to call it “A Happy MRI.” The no-parking zone in my head is smaller than immediately post-surgery.

Keep up the prayers and good work to beat this thing!
Best wishes and prayers from another family living with the big C- GBM 4.
Hi, I am so sorry, I just saw this. I am all about support amongst Glioma folks and their loves OK, I am also about the kids and starch foods but that is another posting.
Erin, I am from Brasil and my brother, Marcos ( 38 years ) is a GBM patient. His fight began in March/2009. He had the resection of the tumor, radio and chemoterapy. He was great till last year. In october, the tumor had return. After a radiosurgery, now, he is in chemoterapy with Temodar, Avastin and Ironotecano. I am very otimist, unless, the prognostic for glioblastoma is very bad. I believe that God and this treatment will save him. And I believe you will save, too.
My solidarity,
Sílvia.
