Steve reporting:
Paco turned 9 last Friday. His birthday desire was a sleepover party with a small group of his friends. Most of them attend school with him so I picked them up and walked to our house. A couple more joined us later in the evening.
It was basically a long play date of Pokemon, basketball, a movie, lots of junk food, and loud boys. They even played basketball in the dark with flashlights on their heads… Fun times! I think some of them stayed up until 3:00 in the morning.
Here is a photo from early in the day. A few balls got stuck in the basketball net at the same time. They spent about 15 minutes trying to get more balls stuck. Here they are celebrating six balls in the net at the same time.

All of the kids seemed to get along really well and we had a great time.
After a bit if crying, Tommy went to my parents’ house in Woodland for the night. It was partly a treat for Paco to have the night to himself without his little brother. Also, there is no way Tommy would have slept a wink with all of the noise an excitement. Thanks Abu and Aba!

Glad that Tommy finally went home with yout folks.

what a good idea for Paco to have a 9th birhday slumber party. I’m sure he will remember it throughout his life, its those things that are milestones in a kid’s life.
good work, barbara, they are hard to keep up with, I know.
