Last night my niece Kathy called from Oakland saying that she and her handsome son, 18-year old son Joshua, would like to come up this afternoon to see Erin. As a surprise bonus, her Mom, who is my sister-in-law Pat, also came. Unfortunately, I missed their visit because I had committed to playing on a team at the all day event today in the Orangevale Bridge Tournament, in which Clark kindly encouraged me to play.
Joshua is a senior at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland and is headed to St. Mary’s College this Fall where he plans to study nursing. He has had many surgeries on his back these last couple of years, so I guess the nurses caring for him inspired his decision. He is about 6 ft 7 or 8, I think. Pat has recently trained as a volunteer at Kaiser in Oakland where I think she is working in the information booth. She is a former nurse and would be an excellent source of infomation.
Last night I showed Clark how to use Erin’s iPhone to take a photo (since I wanted to have my phone with me at the tournament). However, Colleen came by and was the photographer. She is hurting from the fall.
Craig, Clark’s son, was here too for a few hours, so there was lots of converstation. Erin was asleep when I got home, but woke for Mac ‘n cheese for dinner.
