Erin slept almost straight through from 8 pm last night until 5 pm this afternoon. She arose briefly to try eating some lunch at about 2 pm, but took one taste and said that nothing tasted good, and went back to bed.
Barbara, the volunteer, came at 6 pm, and said that while we were gone all that Erin had eaten was 3 water crackers. Then just a few minutes ago Erin had half a tuna sandwich on multigrain bread. She has had a tickle in her throat all day.

sleep is the body’s way of calming the self, and for awhile it shuts down and lets go of all the mindstuff that clouds our spirit. there is a lot of really good rest and strength building going on and just like a computer on standby erin will be ready to go again. i am amazed at her energy, i couldn’t keep up with her.
