This photo was taken this morning as Erin was transferring to Shannon’s
van after Erin ’s oncology appointment with Dr. Adams at Kaiser.Erin mentioned

to Dr. Adams that she had discontinued the steroid,
tapering off over a period of 4 weeks. He did not seemed concerned
at all. He said that some people don’t mind it and others, like Erin,
dislike it intensely. He said that the reason she is having more
difficulty with speech now could be because maybe there is
more swelling in the part of the brain controlling that aspect
of speech. She starts a sentence, then loses her train of
thought and can’t complete it.

He did some neurological tests like having her use her left hand
to touch her right ear. She performed them all ok. So, he said
that even though she is having trouble speaking, she seems
to understand all right.

Shannon and Erin went to lunch at Roxy, but came home
early because Erin was tired. We got home about 10 min
before they were due home, but they were already home.
Shannon was waiting in the living room and Erin was sound
asleep, sleeping from 1 to 5.

Brandon and Beck came over to visit her tonight,
but they visited in her room, rather than in the patio.
She had the lights out by 9:15 pm.
