Delay. Delay. Delay

I have so much to add. And I need sleep! Our lovely 5-year old boy came down with the Swine Flu of all things. We had no idea that it was that bad until we took him in today. But it left us to balance doctor’s appointments and asking all for help (special help from cousin Ginny, brother Brandon, Aunt Pat and friends Shan and Amanda) so they could care for our kids. I met with my new oncologist today and he and I were on the same page…better to get the flu now than in September after radiation and chemo begin! More details later. Kaiser, as always, had it all together for us.

Oncology is around the corner from Neurology and we ran into Dr. Akins, whom I appreciated in ICU and Steve delivered a portion of the family wine to Dr. Williams. I received hugs from both neurologists. They may not look like McDreamy, but they are both less arrogant and substantially warmer. And easily as brilliant as the fictional character.
